I feel so guilty all the time. Like I have to betray my needs in order to meet everyone else’s. It’s very lonely.

ADHD ruined my life and Autism is pissed about it!
Autism plans and prepares and launches then ADHD comes along and says 'gosh this is boring and tedious can we please drop it' and exhausted autism says - 'please get me out of here'.
As a result I have never finished anything I started or got a career together.

Now post menopause tells me I'm too late and I suck anyway so why bother?
Not in a good place at 55. Filled with regrets and self admonishment.
Got another 2 years on Autism wait list and about 5 I'm told for the ADHD.
Who needs them anyway I know what's going on well enough by now thanks to you Alex, and others who speak about it.

I don't get anything out of dealing with people. They make me miserable.

We need an effective community. What I'm consistently seeing in the comments is people being grateful for the information you're uncovering, but still feeling isolated and helpless - sometimes more so due to the extra awareness. This makes me sad because in reality, there are so many of us, we just lack the connection to each other.

Alex, what you're doing is fantastic - you're really breaking important ground with this podcast, as are Ben Branson and Rox and Rich Pink.

What I'm sensing is we need to create a community - not a support group or talks by medical professionals (even if they're incorporated), but just something people can belong to that makes them feel less different. It could have a really welcoming, fun and affirming name like "The Neuro Hive" or "Beautiful Minds Club".

We're all founder mentalities too - we can build it! Who's with me?

If anxiety makes normal situations feel far more intense than they should, Anwen Reid’s anxiety quiz might help you understand why your mind reacts that way.

My adhd makes my autism anxious, and my autism bores my adhd rigid. It's a fine balance to try and maintain between the two

The guest, perfectly managed to talk about the need to talk about things that need to be talked about , without talking about the things.

This is crushing my career right now. I'm so tired and frustrated. Officially ADHD. Extremely likely AuDHD. It's like being a constant fight with myself. The endless disregulation. 😖

I don't like speaking to loved ones or anyone about whats going on as i usually have it held against or used against me at different times when i am being too much, i feel overwhelmed by this and then think what caused the argument that led to that being said words like i am pathetic or childish frustrating etc 🤔 so keeping the lid on it or my mouth firmly closed is thee best outcome so not to get the the rejection feeling even though it still.comes 🤔 😢❤🎉
