Great video! One suggestion though—you should start adding Amazon links in the description for the bits and pieces you mention and show in the video. It’d make it much easier for people to find exactly what you’re using, and I’m sure a lot of us would appreciate it.

“Great video, lads. Just a friendly observation, please take care when working at that height. Personally, I’d be looking at using a scaffold tower or MEWP for lifting and fitting the outdoor unit. If ladders are used, they should be properly secured and the work carefully planned. At the end of the day, everyone wants to get home safely. 👍

Great video guys and great to see someone new doing this. Quick question over here where I install these we have to have 2m clearance at the front of the unit is it different in the UK. Also save yourself some trouble use nyloc on the connections. Best of luck with your new venture

So how did you do the bend from the outside wall down to the unit without damaging the pipe or kinking

Best not to de bur the pipe before flaring as it causes scratching inside the flare. Try it as you will find your flares are perfect without deburing, if any burs after the flare will only be on the outer edge which is easy to get off without touching the internal flare.

It was very smart of you to get into the air con business at this point. This is the future of the UK. All the best!

Lovely to see that you're matching the internal unit to the ceiling rather than just sticking to the spirit level! This always grinds my gears – I live in a wonky 350 year old cottage that it's a constant balancing act getting things to sit right between wonky floors and wonky ceilings! The spirit level is practically useless 😂 Most tradies look at me like I'm mad when I ask them to go off level to match the sight lines... great job!

US HERE We got a Mini split off of E bay The lines were pre charged so no messing with gauges or refrigerant. it is also a heat pump and the unit is working great.

Getting F-Gas does not make anybody a refrigeration engineer, it’s just a qualification for refrigerant handling. Tightening the tie wraps that much on the pipe work compromises the insulation, it has a certain thickeners for a reason. My advice to anyone is not go to plumbers/electrical companies for this type of work. There is legislation around companies being registered not just the engineer for F-gas and the newer A2L refrigerants which these smaller newer units come with.
