I lived in a super small town when i was a kid. there was only 1 video rental we could walk to and they had 1 copy of Bionic Commando. Me and a classmate would try to get to the rental place first on Friday to get it and try to beat it. that was like 30+ years ago and i have still never beat Bionic Commando.

It reminded me i have one on the attic in our house, i did go look for it and i still have it with about 20 different games. I immediately connected it and still works all okay. Now my younger sister is playing with it, i totally forget about it. Thanks Adrian for this video!

For some centre negative devices that I have, I have just fitted four schottky diodes wired as a bridge rectifier (for low forward voltage drop) inside the device so it does not matter on polarity of the input.

I always do a CIC bypass mod on any NES console I open up. The CIC lockout chip is the most common cause of the dreaded blinking reset light. If the connection to the cartridge isn't dead on perfect, the system won't boot. Disabling that lockout chip makes the system more reliable, even if you don't plan on using any carts that lack the proper partner CIC chip in them.

Bubble bobble looks just like Dig Dug. The arcade version of Dig Dug. Lots of memories of Dig Dug from the 80s and 90s.

36:17 I have verified the Zapper does not work with the AV Famicom. Though some responses I got were from people who didn't know the difference between a AV Famicom and a top-loader NES. Basically the top half of the case is different to accommodate the different cartridge slots. The NES has a ridge slot, the FC is flat to allow the Famicom Disk System cartridge to sit on top. The bottom half of the shell is the same, even down to both consoles having empty indentations meant for stickers that are only used on the opposite console.

HVC-101 is the AV Famicom itself.
HVC-002 is the power adapter used by the original Famicom, the AV Famicom, and Super Famicom.
