Here I am scouring eBay for an Atari, while Adrian gets handed an entire museum! The rich get richer! lol. In case you can’t tell, I am incredibly jealous! lol.

As an old Atari nerd who worked in an Atari/Amiga repair shop, this video triggered me in so much ways.
Take a few pieces of advice from an old man:
1.If you just insert an empty disk, you don't have to wait for an ST to timeout on the bootseek.
2.The floppy disk drives with wide eject buttons were notorious for failing.
3.The Keyboard ist used by ALT+Cursorkeys and ALT+HELP/UNDO for buttons
4.At least this Mega-ST2 got a fan. Atari got cheap in later days and didn't put in fans anymore. Retrofitting a 3rd-party fan was the most common mod we did on Mega's.
5.Software compatibility (especially with cracked programs) depended heavily on the installed TOS version and the Blitter.
6.As an Apple enthusiast, you definitely need the Mac emulator (ROM) card for the Mega ST.
And last but not least, yes, most errors in STs could be fixed by reseating the ICs or replacing the original sockets and resoldering the joystick-ports.
As long as the MMU wasn't defective, STs were pretty tough.

This looks like a great bunch of machines!
I laughed when I realized that these are the machines from James. I put this on at my bench while I was prepping machines from James for a video 😀Thanks for the shout out, it was a great surprise!

Kind of impressed with how resilient these ataris are. And almost no barrel capacitors.
