  Back in the day, when I was a christian, I always thought that atheism would be pretty sad and stuff. Now as an atheist, I realize that I've never been better.

  Well - not sure if you are single or not, but you forgot a big one…. My sex life as a Christian was riddled with guilt and shame.  I was made to feel devastated every time I experienced pleasure.  Purity culture fucked me up bad…. NOW as an atheist, I can relax and truly enjoy the intimacy and pleasure of my sexuality like never before…. It is like a totally different experience, and it is so beautiful.

  I'm Sunni exMuslim atheist. One of the good things I gained after becoming an atheist and abandoning religious dogmatism is that I began to appreciate art and literature better. Religion used to create a barrier in my mind preventing me from gaining the creator's perspective and making me wary of delving into the artistic elements of a work, as if I were walking through a minefield

  I like not lying. I had to lie all the time to be a "good" Christian. Lie to myself, lie to the church members, lie to the community, fear lying to god..... I don't have to lie anymore, and it lifts my 'spirits'. Being an honest person is way better than being a fangirl.

  I've never been religious, thanks mom and dad. I have found peace just being grateful that I got a 'walk on part' to this cosmic mystery we find ourselves in.

  As a lifelong atheist, what I learned from reading and hearing Christians, is that I had freedom:  freedom of my mind, to think, question, and believe what I wanted.  Thanks for the video, you are a great speaker and I love your passion.

  I deconstructed several decades ago from the Southern Baptist. I'm with you. My life is SOOOOO much better. Best of luck on your path forward no matter where it takes you.
