  I usually don’t leave YouTube comments, but this documentary truly deserves one. It’s refreshing to see real artisans explaining their work instead of relying only on narration. You can genuinely feel the pride these people have in preserving a tradition that has survived for generations. As someone interested in photography and filmmaking, I couldn’t stop thinking about how much work must be hidden behind this documentary. People often watch an hour-long film without realising what it takes to produce it. Organising interviews with the Harris Tweed Authority, filming inside working mills, documenting every manufacturing stage, capturing drone footage across Lewis and Harris and then weaving everything together into one coherent story is a huge undertaking. This is very impressive and quite unbelievable that everything done by one person! Are you sure you don’t have a team? If not, are you sure you aren’t humanoid?😂😂😂

  Congratulations on creating something that is both educational and cinematic. It’s rare to find documentaries on YouTube that feel this polished and thoughtfully researched. It must have taken an incredible amount of planning and patience to film all these different locations and every stage of production during one trip. That is a remarkable achievement. What I enjoyed most was how the landscapes weren’t just used as beautiful backgrounds. The story constantly shows how the islands, the weather, the people and Harris Tweed are all connected. It feels impossible to separate the cloth from the place where it’s made❤

  I’ve been lucky enough to visit Lewis and Harris myself, and this documentary brought back so many memories. What impressed me most is that it isn’t just another beautiful travel film full of drone shots (although those are STUNNING!!!). It actually explains why Harris Tweed matters. Before watching this, I never realised how much work goes into producing every single metre of cloth or how many skilled people are involved in keeping the tradition alive. The interviews with the weavers and the Harris Tweed Authority were fascinating. I especially loved the historical detail that people used to recognise genuine tweed by the smell of peat smoke before the Orb certification existed. Those are exactly the kinds of details that make a documentary memorable rather than just visually beautiful! WELL DONE!

  Amazing! There has been so much work put into this video. &nbsp;I lived in Harris as the warden at Stockinish Youth Hostel for a year in 1976 and saw a neighbour&apos;s loom in action, but only now understand what I saw. It was also amazing to watch your side-by-side comparisons between landscape and cloth.<br><br>And watching Ian Martin explaining his waft, I now believe that OCD was also invented in Scotland along with Punch Card Computer Programming.<br><br>Well done Anastasiia!

  This documentary film was truly impressive Anastasiia. You must have spent so much time &amp; effort putting it all together, from the interviews to the cinematography it was done so professionally. Harris Tweed making genuinely is an art form &amp; long standing tradition &amp; to think there&apos;s so few with the skillset &amp; passion that can still do it. Listening to the weavers explain so professionally the craft they put into the weaving process for Harris Tweed was really interesting. Thank you so much for being an amazing ambassador to Scotland &amp; our traditions, &nbsp;it means the world. 👏☺️

  This honestly feels closer to something I’d expect to watch on BBC Scotland or even Netflix than on YouTube. I can only imagine how much work went into filming all the mill processes, arranging interviews, travelling across the islands and then editing everything into such a coherent story. One hour flew by. The storytelling deserves special praise. The history, craftsmanship, landscapes and interviews all flow naturally into one another. The pacing is excellent!!! You never feel like you’re watching separate chapters stitched together. It feels like one continuous journey through Lewis &amp; Harris

  Some of the other folk have said this is a top quality film. You could show it on mainstream TV as it is and to be fair it is far better than most of the stuff on TV these days. I loved the bit where you show the patterns and the various landscape images that they reflect.

  Another fantastic film. I could dwell on many aspects but I particularly enjoyed the comparisons between the tweed patterns and the landscape. I feel sure that the Authority and local artisans will be delighted with the thoughtful and respectful insight into their work.
