This is my mom’s first YouTube video, and I couldn’t be more proud of her ❤️ I’m so happy to see how many of you she has inspired, and from what country everyone’s from! My mom is truly amazing. Lots of love from Iceland.

Hello from the US. You had me at “Perfect for a hobbit puttering in the garden and enjoying second breakfast by the fire.” Perfectly captures how I wish to live my life!

My favorite hand knit is a lace shawl I knit for my mom 25 years ago, in her favorite color. She was so excited! When she passed away in 2023 the shawl returned to me. She taught me to knit 50 years ago. Miss you, Mom.

"Nothing is a failure if the goal is to gain experience." Best advice I've heard in years. Thank you. So glad I've found your channel. Or that it found me ! ❤

Hello from California, USA. I'm 22 and I'm at a point where I need to get rid of basically everything to move. It's really made me realize I have so much things I don't need and that's inspired me to commit to creating an entirely hand made wardrobe. I've been hand sewing for around 2 years and got a sewing machine 6(?) months ago. Everytime I wear something I've made, I feel so proud, happy, and confident. Even when it's not perfect. I started crocheting about a month ago and I LOVE it. I've made a scarf, leg warmers, a bag, and right now I'm making some shorts and a poncho. My plan is to replace just about everything I can with made by me clothes. I want my wardrobe to be ethical, customized, practical, long lasting, and beautiful. Creating clothes has just been a big reminder of what I'm capable of, and to slow down to just enjoy things. I also love history and textile/fiber arts are just an amazing way to connect to women's history. BTW, I've been listening to the audiobook version of The Fellowship of the Ring while crocheting recently. So excited to see what else you do and talk about!

I love the idea of "filling the gaps" in your wardrobe. We are so surrounded by consumerism that I think having that Idea present while knitting really keeps you out of that consumer behavior.

Omg am I dreaming? Finally, a channel that doesn't sound “made for the camera”🤣. I thought I was going crazy because I wanted to hand-make my wardrobe lol 🤣 Well, we are at least two crazy girls 😉. You have a fan in me, Sandra. I am from New Brunswick, Canada. Thank you so much for sharing your passions with us all. And I will follow you, from now on.😁😉❤️

I love finding videos like this. This is why YouTube was created - we can connect over oceans and see how other people live and the intentions, creativity and experiences in turn inspire us. Thank you for your video ❤🧶🌼

Greetings from Maine, USA. It’s a very important message you’ve put forth, to slow down and go for quality instead of quantity. My country is in a terrible mess, most of us are totally stressed. It’s hard to be calm but we’re trying.

I’m in my 60’s! …learning to knit…! …
I alter and mend my clothing and I’ve always searched out second hand linen clothes. I have come to the same decision as yours: linen and wool, made …or altered/mended by me. I’m so glad you made this video!♥️🇨🇦

This was the most calming, relatable and inspiring 22 minutes I’ve ever experienced. It felt like sitting down and stitching with a friend. Truly a breath of fresh air. Thanks for sharing!
Sending love from the east coast of Canada!
