  I think the large tentacle monster is the manifestation of the rig or facility, since it throws monsters/manifestation of the dead people, like if they jumped off during the crisis. Makes sense since an oil rig foundation stretches till the seafloor, that's why it's has long tentacles.

  It's also highly implied the heart is from one of the victims. When he comes back a second time the town tells him to give it back.

  Kills and Discoveries are not the only things effecting the ending as Cannula refills (Refilling your self revive) and Mistakes made as Zoe in "The Patient" chapter also massively effect the ending also the name of the giant tentacles is "The Collapse" so I think it's supposed to represent the S.W.D.P disaster itself.

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mzAFeFr0DOI&amp;t=1307">21:47</a> I like to think that with how fast the CEG influenced the town with modern healthcare facilities and equipment that they forgot to train the staff on using said equipment, which adds to how Zoe feels with the whole section and medicine names that seem foreign to her at the time.

  Isn&apos;t it possible part of the confusion around Richard&apos;s identity is because he is also an engineer? He&apos;s not the engineer, but a lot of companies have been founded, and led, by people who actually did the work at one point, or at least had the training.

  I assumed the pick line in simon was for the anti rejection drugs keeping the donor heart compatible with him. Then again Simon seems to not understand why its there, and given the black fluid in the iv bags it could represent oil, literally keeping him alive, like oil kept the &quot;heart&quot; of st. Amelia alive.

  My interpretation is that the endings are essentially the town testing Simon if he could go back to that decision, what choice h would make. I originally thought that he hasn&apos;t made his choice in the hospital room yet, but that didn&apos;t make sense to me as I would ask myself &quot;Then why would he feel guilty if he hasnt lied at the tribunal yet?&quot;.

  Also i read through all of the Concept arts and stuff, the gigantic creature is called &quot;the collapse&quot; so i think it is a manifestation of the literal collapse that had happened, launching the workers into the waters and crushing them that&apos;s why we see the many bodies falling from the sky
