  I really value that you clearly distinguish between your personal enjoyment of the game versus the quality of the game and where it fits in its genre. I also appreciate that you give criticism seriously and throughtfully, and not just to make a joke.

  casino simulator and other similar sim games always give off the vibes of "we all took the same game template from a store and just added (insert profession here) mechanics to make it sellable on steam"

  haha the whole purpose of strange antiquities is that you start with no knowledge AT ALL, which is really funny and realistic as you&apos;re playing someone who just took over the shop for a little while, it definitely takes an hour of two to genuinely get used to it (although some people learn this kinda stuff quite quickly)! I dont feel like it&apos;s a type of game that&apos;s specifically fitting for you either but for someone who loves learning about new things and loves logic puzzles, mysteries and riddles, this game is AMAZING! i loved playing it and its prequel :)<br><br>edit: btw i just realized you were kinda stuck with the story because of that lil map riddle, those unlock new items most of the time, which should make looking up your items much easier x<br><br>they also unlock new secrets in your shop itself sometimes, which also help with making your game easier!

So many games get criticised for being similar to other games, especially farming sims/ life sims, and it can be incredibly frustrating. While I do play a variety of games, I like playing similar games as well, because I’m not as much in it for the mechanics as I am in it for the story (though I do play non-story based puzzle games as well). So similar mechanics and gameplay just makes it easier for me to pick up and start &nbsp;playing.

  I don&apos;t know If you are into that but you should definetely review 20 indie strategy titles. You would do great explaining some strategy game mechanics man.

  This was great. I really appreciated the honest feedback, even though it was pretty brutal. But as others have said, if they&apos;re asking you to critic it and it&apos;s for sale, as long as you are not unfairly mean I think you have nothing to worry about. Definitely would watch another one of these if you&apos;re short on ideas and just want to push something out.

  Was not expecting Jotunslayer up &nbsp;front. &nbsp;It was free on EPIC yesterday and I just finished my first dabbling in the game. My conclusion is the same, a solid game to mess around with for a few sessions.
