  The Red Alliance AI issue reminded me of a fun fact about Bioshock: the first shot an enemy fired toward you was designed to miss. This was to keep the AI fair and allow you time to assess the situation and find the opponent, as opposed to just getting shot without knowing what was happening.

First time I remember it hitting me hard was one Xmas when I was a kid and we were really REALLY poor, like rationing food poor. My mom baught me a Spider-Man game for a system I didn&apos;t have but I didn&apos;t know, I thought she got me a new system! I was so excited but when I couldn&apos;t find it in the presents and asked her about it, the look on her face of, &quot;oh no! I messed up!&quot; KILLED me. I wanted her to succeed so bad, I started trying to lie about it but it was too late. Fortunately, she was able to fix it and all was good, but I&apos;ll never forget that crushing feeling of wanting to see her succeed at what she was trying to do. And now, anytime I see someone struggle and try but it falls apart, especially fot reasons out of their control, it eats my feels alive. Empathy is painful sometimes.

  The swap from Smushi being a cute game and all that flipping over to the heavy gunfire of Red Alliance gave me whiplash and made me laugh heartily.
