  What a great video!  I decided I was going to clean out all three of my AC units after watching this detailed procedure. I only got one done, but I'm extremely glad that I did. Turns out the last time I had the AC unit serviced, the technician placed the sold panel in front of the coils, and the vented panel in front of an open area.  When I removed the solid panel the coils were incredibly clogged with debris.  I cleaned everything up and placed the proper panels where they belong. It's running much more efficiently and actually sounds better. Thank you for taking the time to make this video. Greatly appreciated.😀

  Tip: I put a hook into the side of my house & use bungie cord to hold the top & fan in place while cleaning.

  As a 20 year ac tech , I would highly recommend a reputable AC Companyy in your area to do a Maintenance with. Not only should they thoroughly clean your outside coil, you also have an evaporator coil inside as well that also will need to be cleaned. Caution find indoor coil cleaner products if you do it yourself. You at this time can also clean your drain lines , especially if your Air Handler is in your attic as it will have gunk build up in the line itself. Pro tip easy way to clean out the drain is to take a gallon jug of hot water mix with 1.5 cups of white vinegar and slowly pour it down , then go outside and make sure it is coming out of the drain. <br>You can also clean your outdoor unit with a Pump sprayer and 3 cups White vinegar and water. (enviromentally friendly way)<br>Hope this helps anyone.

  fyi, coil foaming is really not required on a residential unit. &nbsp;a garden hose with a good nozzel held at a steep angle to the coil is more than sufficient

  Do it simple… first, turn your a/c condenser off and use quick disconnect located near your condenser place it where the disconnect will not get wet….then, put harm water in your gallon or 2 gal sprayer…pour about 4 oz of dawn dishwasher liquid,shake up/down a few times….spray fins of condenser once or even twice if you have enough….let sit about 5-7 minutes, then use your hose with a nozzle on “flat” as to not possibly damage the coils…wait about 10 minutes to let fins dry….turn unit back on…I do this every October/ April,have no issues with unit not cooling…do this and you’ll be glad you did….no expensive products to buy….once you do this once ,you’ll see how very simple it is and keep that $100 you would give a technician and take your favorite person out to eat /margaritas….👌👍yeeeeeehaw!!!

  My AC had issues cooling the house and I realized I hadn’t done this in 2 years. I didn’t remove the fan. I was able to angle the hose and spray the inside. I used two cans of foam sprayer because the brand I used didn’t foam much. After that the AC worked fine. I do this each spring around April now.
