  German here...<br>If you hve a chance to get... preffer to buy bottled beer instead of canned when buying german beer. They taste sightly different/better. Especilly when drinking (Hefe-) Weizen... and don´t forget to turn the bottle upside down once before opening, so the yeast in the bottom gets mixed up again

  Just some general knowledge: The Dutch and German drinking toast &quot;Proost&quot; comes from the Latin word &quot;pro sit&quot; (the subjontive form of the verb &quot;pro esse&quot; that translates as being of benefit), meaning &quot;may it be of benefit&quot;.

  The paulaner is a hefe weisse. Hefe is yeast. So its white beer with yeast still in there, unfiltered. It’s great!!

  German/Bavarian here: I would not compare Helles with wheat beer. For me this are different kind of drinks. <br>Some like weat beer, others don&apos;t. I guess wheat beer is more healthy because of the vitamins in the yeast (which makes the beer cloudy).<br>But the yeast brings in a special smell not everyone likes. A huge difference to Helles you will experience in the nose.

  In the UK we don&apos;t go much for foam. <br>When I lived in the Netherlands, I&apos;d have to ask them to pour the head off. Some would say the foam was the best part and I&apos;d reply, the liquid is the best part, the foam comes from the liquid, so I want the liquid. <br>If you served a tall foamy head on a beer to someone in the UK, you almost certainly will get a look and told, &apos;no&apos;, &apos;pour the head off&apos;, &apos;I&apos;m not paying for that&apos; or, &apos;are you taking the piss!?&apos;. <br>I&apos;m more a pale ale or dark ale person and love my stouts.

  as a german i am in love with belgian beer. it&apos;s strong and tasty and some feel like champagne in your mouth. delirium nocturne is my favorite.
