Lagoon amusement park in Utah is one of the few survivors founded in the 19th century and is still thriving.

I loved the Sea World park in Ohio...wish it had not closed. And Wonderful Cypress Gardens, plus any water ski presentations/ parks.

You could add tons of defunct amusement parks to your list, including Lakeside in Salem, VA; Astroworld in Houston, TX; Geuage Lake in Ohio, and Hard Rock Park in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Hampton Va buckaroo Beach Park had a wooden roller coaster and it had little boats that you went on a love ride that went into a tunnel after it closed down the city of Hampton had the carousel refurbished and now you can go ride it. It’s in a building that has glass walls and it’s covered so it’s not outside in the elements also in Virginia Beach Virginia there was another park that it had a huge roller coaster, and it was used in a in a movie and it was blown up for the movie.

Okay so for San Francisco’s playland you missed a very big part of the history. Laughing Sal and the big dipper got moved to the Santa Cruz Beach boardwalk. That is where those things exist now because just because playland in San Francisco close the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk preserved some of those things from San Francisco and they still exist today. I rode the big dipper constantly growing up and it made me so scared and I constantly passed by laughing Sal as well. If you want to see any of these things in person watch the movie, the lost boys which is based in Santa Carla, California, which is actually Santa Cruz where the big dipper and laughing Sal still exist. Honestly missing that big part of the story there kind of turned me off your video.

Investors stripping value before going bankrupt is nothing new and seems to be a common practice for private equity firms. Find something profitable and take that value
