Boundaries help us stay in alignment
Boundary breakers derail us

Can't relate to 'violating boundaries' on othrs, but it's happened to me plenty. Gaslighters tend to do that.

I manage C-PTSD and am married to a husband who manages ADHD-PI, both of us diagnosed in our 40's, married for 25 years, 26 years by June 2026. 💖
Boundaries are so incredibly important!!!
Any suggestions for C-PTSD / ADHD-PI couples? 🌻

If you're involved with someone who doesn't respect your boundaries 👀 they don't respect YOU.

If I have told someone that, in an argument, if they yell at me, I will need to step away, I'm not going to calmly reiterate that in the moment. I don't owe that to someone who is yelling at me. Melissa talks about starting with yourself when it comes to boundaries. Walking away from someone who is yelling at me is an act of self-respect. I don't know, there were several things she said that bothered me, but that was a big one.

I know someone who reads books on everything and talks the talk but doesn't walk their talk 👀
Most of us fundamentally know what we need to do but doing it or implementing it is the missing link.

Boundaries are not imposed on others; it is about us. In this discussion, we talk about living our boundaries and how we know what we need and how to vocalize our needs.

Well this was eye-opener for me! Melissa speaks so clearly that I feel I understand right away what she talks about! (I'm being non-native english speaker) thanks Catie for such a good channel, subbed! 🎉

I have discovered that I need other people to be really clear about their boundaries. I don't always understand that something is a boundary unless someone says "This is a boundary and it is because of this". Unfortunately this seems to be especially unclear when I am oversharing or even if I am just involved in a conversation. I don't always see the boundary (especially if no-one actually said "I don't want to talk about ... because of ...." ) I know that some people understand right away and some people don't need to know why a boundary is set but I seem to need the reinforcement that clarity brings. I understand about yelling and being mean but I don't understand about topics.
