  I&apos;m not independent bc I followed advice, I&apos;m independent and strong because I had to learn to fend for myself being unsafe around men. I had to fight grown men from a very young age physically and emotionally &amp; was frequently humiliated as a little girl just for being born female. Every time I was hurt &amp; abandoned, I grew stronger. <br><br>When a man wants me to need him, he needs to take time to grow trust, he needs to show me he&apos;s physically and emotionally safe on a consistent basis. Do things for me from the heart and not wanting things in return. Receive gracefully what I give him from my heart. <br><br>It&apos;s ridiculous that growing strong &amp; independent after so much adversity will be held against you by men who can&apos;t comprehend what you went through to become who you are. 🙏🌺<br><br>Edit: To everyone who reads this, please remember that no matter what you went through, YOU ARE ENOUGH ❤

  In my life I&apos;ve witnessed many men who ridicule women for being emotional. Perhaps that&apos;s why &nbsp;women assume men don&apos;t want to build emotional intimacy.

  I could have used this when I was in my 20s! &nbsp;I ended up getting pregnant with the wrong man from settling! &nbsp;Lived most my life in survival mood and always wished I was able to have that man that would make me feel safe! &nbsp;Now 44 and kids out of the house and I am more knowledgeable, which now is the time for me to find my person!

  Many of the men I meet do not have the career and the means to support a family. Unfortunately in American society, women have to work... it&apos;s sad our society has come to this, but a one-income family just doesn&apos;t cut it anymore

  i grew up with a bunch of men and my older brothers basically beat it into me that men don&apos;t want a &quot;needy and useless&quot; woman who asks for/ wants/ needs anything, that she needs to be fiercely independent etc....<br><br>yet they both ended up with women who won&apos;t even fetch their own glass of water or ask him to flip a light switch for them and scream in terror and run for them at a mosquito buzzing by....
