I think Dr. B negotiates well the hugely complex issue of 'when' regarding knee treatment/partial/full replacement. I do believe movement is so very important for us all- whatever that is for each individual- so when that starts to go, the replacement or an intervention is getting close. At 57& after double arthroscopies, years ago, I jog (carefully) 3 times a week& constantly walk straight& without issues, but have a travelling joint on one side (momentarily & unexpectedly excruciating) and am almost bone-on-bone on the other (not really painful). I just tell people my knees are shot!

Thank you for making me understanding if I need 1 or not. I’m sure I do but before I go ahead I’m working on my fitness I think this is very important for rehabilitation
I’m 60 and retired so I just want to be in the best position after surgery and I do think it will help.
I’m walking 5 to 6 klm a day I’m in a lot of pain while working every day but need to go through this before surgery

yeah,so i have pain, 2 torn meniscus/es?, bone spurs, and no cartilage. the only problem i don’t have is misalignment. so…..surgery. i know it will hurt, i’m actively working on how to minimize that, but at least there’s a very strong chance it will heal and i can do more than i can do now. ‘other treatments’ have failed.

however, my other knee has a misalignment on the ‘kneecap’ and that’s not going to improve without [ separate] surgery. 😢

based on my parent’s age, which i understand is increasingly an indication of your own lifespan as you age, i can reasonably expect to live 30 more years. yeah, i’d like those decades to be functional and pain-free.
