  I honestly didn’t know there were this many perks available for older travelers. A lot of people probably just assume they have to pay extra for everything and deal with the airport on their own. This is a good reminder to actually ask what help or benefits are available before traveling. For veterans over 60, that could make a big difference, especially when traveling to see family or for appointments. Sometimes it’s not even about saving a ton of money it’s just knowing what to ask for and making the whole airport experience a little easier.

  I am a 100% disabled vet and wear an insulin pump. The company (Medtronic) states it should not go through the scanner. It&apos;s such a pain to fly and try to get through security and I have to disconnect the pump from my body and reconnect on the other side. It is not really supposed to be x rayed as well. Is there anything that would help a disabled vet to get through security without having to remove the pump? &nbsp;Yes, it does hold fluid, insulin.Thanks, GS

  Southwest &quot;Basic and Choice&quot; fares are non-refundable; you only get a fare credit if you cancel. &nbsp;How do I get around that?

  What have any of the items he mentioned specifically or for plain veterans? I heard many that deal with disabled veterans, but even those can be used by anyone. Again, please let me know what I missed that ONLY applies to veterans over 60.

  Cathay Pacific makes you pay to guarantee you sit next to your 10 year old child. 100% Bangkok to Chicago R/T with stop in Hong Kong. I had to pay both legs, both passengers to guarantee. I couldn&apos;t believe it so called CP. They verified it. Shit policy, shit airline.

  I am sorry what am I missing here? All of these &quot;perks&quot; are included to anyone, yes I am a disabled vet but was offfered most of these without telling them I was a disabled vet. I had issues with my last flight and the hotel, stay, meals, and baggage was covered because my flight was delayed past airport flight times... I canceled 24 hours before my flight (reschudeled another) no fee&apos;s and money returned. &nbsp;🤷‍♂ I get it book sales... but dont make money off something vets can get with quick google search.
