  I didnt watch The Mentalist but from what I heard, Dexter is basically a three episode villain AT THE MOST for Patrick 😭😭

  The moment Jane realises that Bay Harbour Butcher is part of law enforcement is the moment he catches him. Dexter is actually so bad at acting clueless that Jane would crack him on the spot. One big factor as well is that Jane&apos;s crew trusts him with life; if he says that Dexter is suspicious, then they will give everything to find evidence on him.

  The most important thing is that Jane doesn&apos;t need evidence to pursue you. If he thinks you&apos;re suspicious he&apos;ll go for you even without evidence.<br>Trying to read Dexter he&apos;d immediately clock him as a sociopath. Fake emotions or lack or response to his teasing would be enough to get a suspicion. At that point, Dexter is done.

  It is actually pretty simple. Patrick sees dexter, and realizes he isn’t normal with in minutes. Patrick kinda stalks dexter a bit, and realizes he only kills bad ppl. Patrick concludes he is not an evil to society decide not to care or pursue him. He makes note of him in his mind, and probably ask for help later.

  Jane would fairly easilly read Dexter. It would be a one-episode investigation for Jane to find Dexter as the BHB
