I was born is Sacramento, I went to Sacramento State University I live near where this incident happened currently and I never ever heard of this case. I am from a younger generation and I was not an adult when this happened by any means but I'm going to look into this now. This is why these videos are so important they truly do spread the word I hope this gets solved

I'm not convinced the police have the right van the officer said no plate yet the van in question had both plates

So heartbreaking to see this happen to an officer in the line of duty. He deserves justice.

14:51 I'm glad you mentioned the point that Jeff's body had been handled by multiple people already: his colleagues, the paramedics etc... What difference could have allowing his wife to hug him or touch him do?? How terribly sad for both of them 😢.

My son played Varsity baseball at Westmont and we have a Memorial Game for Jeff every year. Such a senseless tragedy 😢

I've never been arrested, but I worked in EMS and the sound of the handcuffs coming out is a VERY distinct sound!

I was an emergency nurse almost 40 years. I met & worked with numerous medics, firefighters & law enforcement officers. Fortunately, I only had to attend one funeral for one of my law enforcement officer friends. All first responders have a special place in my heart.❤️

I don't think it was that van. Hopefully, the police have more and get answers for the family. Thanks for another great episode, Derrick.

I was a Deputy Sheriff for many years. I also spent a number of years on mids in very rural and remote areas. We always had two man cars. There were times when this was a huge advantage over a one man car. We were lucky. Nearest fill could be 20 or 30 minutes. My partner for those three years was great. Lots of crazy and dangerous situations. He is gone now. God rest his soul and that of Deputy Mitchell.

Please forgive me, I'm an old lady who doesn't know how things work, but I'm thinking a GSR test on both people in the van plus possible transfer from another driver who may have shot the officer could rule in/out the involvement of these people.
