These cases in which the victim is already fearing for his/her life for some unrevealed reason and then is murdered in a seemingly random way, haunt me. Especially this being unsolved. Thanks for sharing it, Derrick! 🙏

ER nurse here! I have seen someone die from getting struck in the stomach and getting a perforated bowel from it. However, I definitely wouldn’t say that’s common and it would have taken him awhile to pass from that.

Paramedic here. Please pay attention to the packages on any medication. They're there for a reason. That being said... I've done the same with affrin 😅 Get well soon, Derrick!

I think you’re right about the olympics “twist.” I think she was just a heartbroken mother who had given up hope and was trying to rationalize it any way she could. When the reporter called back to try and clarify, Blair’s stepfather answered and said “We’re not opening that can of worms again!” and hung up. At the time I thought he was heartless but he was probably just trying to protect his wife from the pain of what happened.

This case is one of the most perplexing and baffling cases I've ever heard of. The first time I became aware of this case was about 10 years ago, and it still boggles the mind to grasp what actually occurred to make Blair take such a strange trip and then end up murdered, thousands of miles away from his home!
