Once you said that they demoted him. And also didn’t give him the proper officer burial. That’s definitely corrupt! Someone had a grudge against him.

Never heard of this case! Thank you, Derrick, for giving the victims of these cold and unsolved cases their voice back!

Kudos to Barbara for fighting again that corrupt PD. It’s evident someone there had an axe to grind and was responsible for his m*rder.

The police chief needs to be investigated. Mike knew something that the chief wanted hidden.

Whaaat... Who is the genius that decided Mike was in such a hurry to off himself that he couldn't even bother to finish filling up his tank before putting one in his forehead after asking who wants ice cream? The wound is also weird, btw. How often does someone shoot themself directly in the forehead? It's a very awkward place.

It wouldn't be the first time an investigation was ruled a suicide just to stop any further digging. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Wait a second, who goes to a gas pump/gas station to beat the hell out of themselves and commit suicide? In fact, I've never heard of someone committing suicide at a gas pump/gas station. It doesn't make sense as a place to do so. Not to mention all of the other issues.

Thank you for covering this. People don't off themselves at a gas pump. Also, investigating in the same department is absolutely a conflict of interest. I'm surprised it was allowed.

I'm sorry, but he decided that the county courthouse was the best venue for his suicide? That's odd on its own.
But then he asked the family for their frozen yogurt orders? No way was this a suicide.
As a teen a neighbor's murder was downgraded to a suicide, but I never thought the police would do that to one of their own.

It’s so obvious that he was murdered and the fact that the department are going so hard on it being a suicide just tells me one of two things:
1. The department is completely incompetent and all of their cases should be questioned.
2. They’re covering up an inside job.

Wow, what an aggravating case. I am so disappointed to hear the way Captain Michael was shamed after his death by the very people he served beside. I am also always so curious if any of these LEA's reach out and accept your offer to test old evidence or help finance what they need to continue fighting for justice... makes you wonder if its not the money, then what is it?
