Dr. Jorge, if you ever feel tired from doing these videos, please be sure that your effort is being incredibly appreciated. The way I view quantum mechanics and physics overall has dramatically changed ever since I have been watching your videos. Thank you a million times.

Einstein is underrated (this is no joke)

You’ve done it again Dr. Diaz! You filled a gap in my knowledge of undergraduate physics that I didn’t even know was there! Your videos consistently reveal that a standard physics education misses a lot of these vitally important connections, and that’s a real shame! I again encourage you to write a new physics textbook that brings back all of the historical context to these subjects that have been lost in the decades since the beginning of the last century. Also, will there be a follow-up video on Heisenberg’s contributions?

Aaaaaaaaaaaah, stimulated emission. Not as well known as the special relativity paper or the general relativity one, or even the "photoelectric paper"... But in my opinion one of the most astonishing results Einstein obtained. To be able to derive Planck's law from first principles... My God, I can only imagine his satisfaction when all hypotheses came together and the correct expression came up.

These people were giants, and the elegance of these papers, and derivations, is awe-inspiring. And to think that some 30 years this would lead to the laser!

THANK YOU for (another) amazing video. As always, you do not disappoint.

This summer will mark the 100 year anniversary of Heisenberg's paper on matrix mechanics.

Before watching these videos, I had no idea how much Einstein contributed to the foundations of QM. Thanks for shedding light on this chapter!

The connection between stimulated emission and black-body radiation was mind-blowing. Never mind undergrad, I think most physics PhD's will not be aware of this. Thank you so much

Even for an economist with only modest knowledge of math, this is possible to follow and to admire the creativity

So that’s why Big E came up with stimulated emission! I’ve known since I was a child that it was his idea and that it was the basis for the laser but it was always mysterious how he came up with it and how he justified it. I thought it happened much later in the history of quantum mechanics and that it required much heavier math!

Wow you are bringing to live probably the most complete and equilibrated introduction to the origins of Quantum Mechanics. I love the way in which Einstein is presented, not as a detractor, but as a father of quantum mechanics. I love this series.
