This avenue of quantum mechanics was totally bypassed in my education as a young physicist. In fact, we were never taught matrix mechanics, only the wave function approach.

Seeing the Lorentz-Lorenz equation come up brought back memories of one of my professors asserting that the hardest part of physics is keeping the two names straight.

your joke about spin is very like a Zen koan - sayings that are studied as a method of achieving satori (enlightenment). <br>concerning the hand waving. i think i can safely say for all your fans out there that while we do love the derivations which are fabulous even we dont mind a break from the complex calculations occasionally. <br>please please dont stop with the heavy maths. your teaching style is fantasic.

I think Schrödinger later also thought about correspondence principles of classical mechanics and quantum mechanics - before he found the wave function.

wow, thank you for this video. tracing a story across these historic papers is elite research work. having a hard time translating Dirac&apos;s contributions. The applications for anything involving hydrodynamics (medicine, cells, drugs) and other examples of ensemble phenomena, will be a very rewarding use of this field

In my master&apos;s classes (year 2011), our professor taught us some points related to this trajectory to QM. I will use your videos to retrace those steps in my education, very cool indeed your investigations and series. It is no less than a primer of science and philosophy of science. Thank You!

That oscillation is no doubt some pumping “spin”.

Excellent video with a taste of historical justice for Landenburg.

The is a very nice video. You are uniquely positioned to do a video on the history of optical rotation, if you were inclined. But in any case thank you for this series, and coffee bought!
