The vacuum, sealed bags are great, but they don't lessen the weight. So make sure you don't go over the weight limit.

I pack my dresses somewhat like you do but instead, I carefully lay the skirt part in and arrange it so there are no wrinkles, leaving the top hanging out of the suitcase. Then I put my packing cubes in on top of the dress. Once I’ve filled all of the space on top of the dress, I fold the top of the dress over the packing cubes. Effectively wrapping my dresses around the packing cubes so they don’t wrinkle. It works great.

My husband bought a set of the vacuum packing cube and he loves them. He was so proud of himself for having a packing trick I didn’t have 😂

Yes to a packing video. It's the one thing I hate to do. Pack all shirts together? Pack as outfits? How many ? Lol help

I put my husband shirts inside each other on a hanger inside a sport jacket. In a dry cleaning bag with his pants also on a hanger.  This goes on the bottom of the suitcase.  They come out and get hung up on the cruise with little wrinkles.

I use a capsule wardrobe like your 3x5. 3 or 4 bottoms, 5 or 6 tops. All neutral - black, white, grey, navy - and all can mix and match. Those 8-10 pieces give you about 15-20 outfits. A dress or two, light cardigan that goes with everything. Wear your bulkiest outfit on the plane. I packed for a 12 day trip to Alaska that included a puffer coat,  sneakers, heels, PJs, bathing suit, toiletry bags, curling iron, Kindle, etc all in just a backpack and carry on. Compression cubes, stuffing sneakers with stuff all helped. Easy peasy!

Thank you for your tips. One more tip! Since you can’t take irons onboard, if you really don’t want to get something wrinkled, wrap tissue-paper between its layers as you fold it before you pack it. Yes, it takes more room, but it also comes out unwrinkled!

I do a lot of hand laundry - my daughter in law calls it “hobo” laundry. Underwear, bras, bathing suits. I bring a special towel (microfiber/camping)  that really gets the excess water out.
