  This isn&apos;t a cabin hack, but a packing hack, I don’t bring my perfume from home. Instead each evening before dinner I go to the shop and spray from the perfume testers. Each night I can have a new perfume scent and try some out that may become a favorite to purchase.

  One thing just dawned on me that was a mistake I made years ago and seems like people have forgotten. Our phones are likely to default to automatically set time zone. When we use the ship’s Wifi, it is possible that your phone would default to a complete different time zone to where you are heading to your next port. What that means is that your phone is going to give you the wrong time. Set it to manual setting and use the cruise newsletter as a guide to set your time zone as you cruise.

  I have really cut down on how I pack but it may not work for everyone. For warmer trips, I only take 3 pr of shoes: tennis shoes, dressy shoes for formal nights, sandals for on ship. Last cruise (New England &amp; Canada) I tried out reversible wrap skirts. No pockets but I had my crossbody bag. Each skirt worked for 2 days with different tops and the skirts are so light they take very little room. I don’t take make up, jewelry or hair tools any more (but again, not for everyone). Yes I wore my walking shoes with the skirts off the ship. I’d rather be comfortable and have safe footing than cute. 😊

  For the watch/excursion one: turn off the roaming clock setting on your phone. Have your phone itself set to ship time, and if you have Android add widgets to your home or lock screen that show the time for the ports you travel to.

  I bring a magnet from home that has a picture of my dog on it. &nbsp;Once on my door, it makes it easy for me to recognize which cabin is mine.

  We always ask for a mattress cover as well - it removes the feeling of the gap between the two mattresses.<br>Regarding laundry - we slide out one of the suitcases every night and put our dirty laundry into it. Then at the end of the week, we pack all of the clean clothes that we never wore into one suitcase, and the dirty clothes is all in the other.

  I plug a European adapter in the bathroom outlet, and put a night light in there. <br>I also put my dirty clothes or something I’m not going to wear again in my luggage under the bed daily. Makes packing the last day a bit easier.

  Best tip is packing related and in 3 parts:<br>1.Pack as you go. If you wear an outfit and don&apos;t plan on wearing it again, fold it up and place it in a packing cube. This way you can enjoy your last night instead of frantically packing in time for the luggage to be picked up. <br>2. Put your embarkation outfit under the bed in your suitcase along with an extra pair or socks and underwear. &nbsp;After your dinner on the last night. &nbsp;Go back to your room, take off the outfit, pack it, &nbsp;then put on your embarkation outfit. <br>3. Pack your dirty clothes neatly in a trash bag lined packing cube. Keeps the laundry organized, &nbsp;blocks odors, and takes up half the space as a laundry bag.<br><br>Saved me so much time and aggravation. &nbsp;And you don&apos;t accidentally put out all your clothes the night before and forget to leave an outfit. &nbsp;I have seen many a people disembarking in pajamas or formal wear!😂
