I don't think it's a fear of getting bulky. The fear is injury. Once is enough to learn! Few can afford a coach watching them lift every second.

Also we are seeing a more muscular body normalized. I am always impressed and encourage my daughter to safely build as much as possible especially while she is young (almost 16). My ability to put on muscle was the highest at her age than I've experienced since. I am 45 and would kill to be able to have the option to put on mass. I still get the messaging from people 30-60 that bulking is undesirable when I express wanting to put on mass. It seems they think that means that I would want to or could be like a bodybuilder on steroids. It's ridiculous. There is so much attached to this. Thank you for being in these spaces Dr. Stacy Simms!

We need more trainers who can go on courses to train mature women -most are very young and train oher other young women ,are clueless ,needs to become globally available -I would def advise getting a trainer -I learnt alot but also got injuries because trainer was clueless

Love the idea!! I always rest up to 2 minutes. I work out at home and my highest dumbbell is 20lbs. I just progressed in May…. I do low reps high weights. Way better and less exhausting

Slow Comt - Nervous system dysregulation is a real thing. I never focused on recovery and now I am learning my body is forcing me to rest more. Histamine wakes us up in the middle of the night. Read up on it....

I had a lifestyle that was locked in, perfect sleep hygiene and could not stop waking up at 3 AM. I finally started on Welbutrin, microdose of tirzepatide, take a 5MG THC product and a 5MG slow release melatonin. I sleep for the full night now and I'm a new person. Sorry but lifting weights is not a panacea for all problems. I also do not believe in a female circadian rhythm problem. This is related to cortisol spikes, perimenopause related declining serotonin and dopamine and metabolic dysfunction.
