  a lot of the MOST humble friends I had growing up came from wealthy families who were OPEN about their wealth. these families shared their food with me, bought me clothing, and even housed me when i needed all of those things but didn’t have access. these friends knew their families were loaded, but were also raised to be incredibly generous with that wealth!!!!<br><br>meanwhile some of the worst most toxic friends i’ve had came from families who were also toxic &amp; hid their wealth from their kids. these are the friends who think they “grew up with nothing” because their families were HORRIBLE (personality-wise); who think they “did it all on their own” when they actually had the privileges of comfy homes where all the utilities worked, full fridges, bug-less bedrooms, beds, lunch money (or lunch at all), etc etc.
