  Dark humour is fine, but I feel like if everyone "misunderstands" your joke as being for the white audience, you should at the least, acknowledge the joke didn't land

  I find it weird how she used blackness and black history with slavery as the butt of her "joke" but also is using blackness to escape accountability. Pretending being called out is a type of discrimination

  Her growing and picking her own cotton isn’t the problem.  It’s the joke that’s the problem.  Also picking the seeds out of cotton isn’t fun.  That nearly destroyed the cotton industry in America until Eli Whitney invented the cotton gin.

  Her using the black woman card while simultaneously refusing to acknowledge the racist undertones in her weird jokes is infuriating me. I can’t stand people that are deliberately obtuse to how their statements or actions are problematic

  can we also acknowledge how she wasn’t wearing any shoes in the dairy barn but her husband is wearing work boots. it’s so unsafe to be shoeless in barns whether it being stepping on a nail or manure and either her or her kids are going to get hurt bc of it. and i’m sure they’re anti vax which means there could be more extreme outcomes to them getting hurt

  Wait what?  Saying something is ‘in my dna’ implies that thing can be in dna AT ALL.  And specifically saying cotton picking is in your dna sounds like what old school racists said to justify slavery.  It’s amazing that she’s trying to pretend she can’t see that….
