These people are their own worst enemies. They refuse to change in any way, and expect to be able to charge exorbitant amounts for the little effort they put in. This is entitlement at its best. So sad to see a beautiful historic building have to fail because of people like this.

These people are unbelievable. So entitled and unrealistic. That house looks pathetic. Mold on the outside and very shabby inside. Simon is very patient with them.

i work at hever castle bnb. our rooms are on average £220 a night (ranging from £120 for a single room to £405 for peak time bridal suites) and you get a beautiful room, servicing every day, access to the castle and extensive grounds in and out of public hours, a hugen breakfast, billiards room etc, plus its about 30 min from london from the village train station which is a 15 min walk away. the family that own it have their own private wing, and the rest is public, and the business profited 1.5 million last year despite having 200 fairly paid employees and constantly renovating and maintaining the buildings + gardens. you cant expect to own a castle and estate these days without some sacrifice.
