I love the idea of getting into a suit of power armor, having the effect of the robes stop, and you just topple over like a sack of Tatos.

11:45 On an old Survival playthrough, I managed to find an explosive radium rifle on a legendary Super Mutant, pretty early in the game. It was a power armor build so I already had the Nuclear Physicist perks and 3 ranks in rifleman.
Atom is always blessing us with his glow.

You missed one crucial element to this build: SLUDGE RECIPES.

In the National Park visitor's center (the place where Mitch's Uncle has set up camp) you can find an Islander's Almanac on the table. This almanac teaches you how to make four very special consumables. Each of them temporarily increases one of your stats (Damage Resistance, HP, Strength, and AP regen respectively) based on how high your radiation level is. The recipes are relatively cheap, aside from the Resilient (+HP) sludge which unfortunately requires Bloodbug Meat to craft, which can be tricky to find. All of them require Condensed Fog however, so it is recommended that you set up as many settlements on the far harbor island as possible (since they all come with fog condensers that periodically refill with condensed fog). The Strong Sludge Cocktail grants a huge +5 to strength for 12 full minutes when you have maximum rads, nearly as much as an extra piece of rad-powered armor. Likewise the Agile sludgepak will make your AP refresh hilariously fast. (sadly i tested these with the Party Boy perk, but they don't seem to count as alcohol and are unaffected)

Another clever bonus is that consumables are one of the few things that can still deal rad damage to you, thus with the Ghoulish perk these cocktails (which add +150 rads instantly) are one of your most potent healing items. They can easily outpace stimpaks both in healing and in speed, since their healing applies instantly.

I know that this is not your usual type of content, but you have produced one of the most enjoyable build videos I have seen.

I also really like adding in the "Tunnel Snakes Rule" with CoA builds. The handgun has a unique look, and deals Rad damage too. Lets me lean more into pistol/crit play.

This has been my favorite build on survival mode, hands down. Thank you for all the inspiration!

YES FINALLY, PRAISE ATOM. IVE BEEN NEEDING A VERY WELL BUILT BUILD FOR RADIATION, I'd suggest trying out other builds like a fallout 76 virsion of this video. Personally I love to use ghoulish in both games so maybe you could form a build around ghoulish?

Fun fact there's a small dll you can download that bypasses the no achievements thing.

Its hillarious to me cause I found an Explosive Radium Rifle out on The Harbor, before I even entered The Nucleus

Also an interesting weapon to use would be the Salvaged Assaultron Head. It irradiates the use with 50 rads per shot.
And don't forget about the Agile sludgepak, Durable sludgepak and Strong sludge cocktail.

Shouldn't this be called the radking build, because you basically become a king of radiation
