  I&apos;ve been pondering over this theory for quite awhile after noticing some humans, mostly Children of Atom don&apos;t seem to be affected by radiation, and how humanity must have changed a little over the generations in the wasteland. In FO3 the Enclave&apos;s whole plan was to use FEV to remove anyone who even had a little mutation. AKA just about everyone living in the wastes. The Institute couldn&apos;t make their Gen3 synths with wastelander or even their own DNA due to mutations induced by radiation.<br><br>So yeah I think all wastelanders have mutations even if they don&apos;t express physically and some of these mutations probably includes varying degrees of resistance to radiation. Its the beginnings of humanity evolving in response to an irradiated environment. People who have complete immunity are rare of course and seemingly drawn towards the Children of Atom.<br><br>At least that&apos;s my theory. And even if I&apos;m wrong its still interesting to consider.

  When I wrote the story to the Vault 201 mods, Ware&apos;s revelation was a big factor in what happened to one of the characters. So, in that you get a doctor&apos;s eye-witness account of a &quot;Blessed&quot; man taking lethal rads, having some temporary ghoulish effects and then dramatic and accelerated healing. Later he gets a sense for seeking radiation and that it provides some manner of sustenance, much like a ghoul, but never actually loses his human appearance, or his mind.
