  I agree: The original opening cinematic&apos;s visuals were so much better and more dramatic than the EE version. I&apos;m not sure why they felt a need to change it.<br><br>I am always excited to see someone new talking about the classics!

  &quot;Baldur&apos;s Gate arguably invented isometric party-based RPGs&quot; - There should be a mob of angry Ultima and Dark Sun fans at the door, but nowadays they&apos;re just too busy with their 9 to 5 jobs and kids.

  I always built a summoner mage. &nbsp;The late game summonings were crazy tough (sword spider spam). &nbsp;In BG2 late game monk was also crazy tough. &nbsp;You eventually become immune to normal weapon attacks, poison, disease, ect. and basically no AOE attack hits you.<br><br><b>edit</b> I also have to add that the main villain in BG2, Irenicus, is one of the best villians I&apos;ve ever seen, and the voice acting is sooooooo good.

  I bought this game when it came out before we (me and my dad) even had a pc. Most of my friends had pc&apos;s already. I used to read the manual all the time as if I had a book report to do on it. Eventually in a few months my dad got us a pc and I finally was able to play. I was around 15-16 at the time. Damn, what a damned nostalgia. Thanks and congrats for playing it. It deserves.

  Bought BG1 &amp; BG2 in a bundle yesterday. I’ve never really played an “oldie” before, but I’ve been having such a blast! Wish luck to my Fighter/Mage - ‘bout to storm the Gnoll Stronghold!

  Nothing compares to the original intro animation of BG. Really sets the tone and Sarevok.<br>The reason they had to remake the cutscenes is because they literally didn&apos;t have the copyrights to those through some rights hijinx.
