  650 for a cd player in 2025 is a tough sell for me. I’ll stick to my vinyl.

  Gotta love the cds 💿 and the throw back of the player itself, it sure brings back memories, I grew up with vinyl but when cd came in it had me hooked and I never stopped playing them . Nice video thanks.

  Great video. <br><br>The reason the tubes aren’t on in BT mode is because 1) tubes can interfere with BT transmission and 2) the sound of the CD players DAC amp and tubes can’t be transmitted over BT. In BT mode you’re just sending data, it’s the DAC and amp (and BT chip) in the receiving components that’s responsible for the sound you hear. That’s why BT mode has more than double the usual battery life.

  Excellent review and the most informative I have found for this particular product...THANK YOU JAY!!! This unit is on sale on Amazon for $501 which I know is still expensive but if you&apos;re like me and have a collection of CDs, with many of them rare and not on streaming services, it may be a worthwhile investment and it will also breath new life into you regular CDs as well. Also, Shanling makes a more budget friendly version, EC Zero (no &quot;T&quot;) without the tubes and a different DAC that&apos;s on sale now for $271. HAPPY LISTENING!!!
