  I got the Burson V5i-D ... For Fosi V3. The sound is now more &quot;sticky&quot; and &quot;airy&quot; plus a hint of &quot;smokey jazz bar&quot; . 😀

  Late to this party, but I put the SS 3602 op amps in my Fosi V3 Monos. It woke up my CSS Criton 1TDX speakers in all the ways described in your video. High end is more present, better imaging as well as low end that is more pronounced and much tighter. I&apos;m very happy! GBR!

  I did the Sparkos hack on the Aiyima A07. I was so sure it was sounding better but I was wrong. After a year I swapped them back and my god the clarity and fullness is so much better. Op amps don&apos;t have a &apos;sound&apos; they interact with the components around them and because those components are not designed for that particular op amp they often sound worse. Ringing, is the main symptom... Overdring the components so the components around don&apos;t know how to stabilize the feedback loop which keeps the volume within a clean range. So the signal wobbles creating &apos;ringing&apos;. I was using an EQ to mitigate the harshness it produced. The amp was louder but sounded harsh and tinny. My stereo sounds amazing now without the Sparkos!

  Switched with Muses8920, bass i so much tighter and seperation increased ;-) Love these opamps! The OPA1622 is also very good!

  Bob at USAnalog made the best argument about this that I&apos;ve ever heard: When you pay $200 for a piece of kit, you listen to the MUSIC, instead of to the details about what the kit can- and can&apos;t do. My brand new SMSL AO-300 cost less than $300, has full all-in-one functionality (except streaming, which I already had), and sounds fantastic. It would be a stretch to say I&apos;ll never seriously think about upgrading it, but it&apos;s not a huge stretch, especially at my age.

  I actually switched out the op amp in a crappy but usable FX Audio Dx1 DAC, and it made me laugh out loud how much it improved. It was a total lark.

  Pretty amazing how small changes can affect the sound quality, sometimes it’s as easy as upgrading capacitors in preamps and amps…even speakers
