  On shafted/splined distributors on Churchills, we squeeze a little bit of string into the splines to hold them in place during reassembly, it can save hours of faffing around.

  My Father had the greatest respect for the Churchill, having drove one for 142 RAC, &nbsp;then with the 34th Tank Brigade (HQ Sqdn) from Normandy to Germany from D-Day+6 ....and this video would have made him smile from ear to ear. Bedford Engines were tremendously reliable , as were Rolls Royce, but twin them together like the Bedford Twin Six and the Rolls Royce Vulture was a complex piece of engineering that in the Vulture reliablility was a huge issue , but In Comparison ,the Twin Six was the better mating of Engines and served the vehicles well. Thank you for this, so good to hear that engine finally run as intended, and all without the detailed knowledge those wartime mechanics of the Servicing echelons in WWII had at their disposal, well done lads (and lasses)

  It&apos;s a pity that there&apos;s no one left anymore who ever worked on one of these. I read that the last WWII vet in the UK died a couple weeks ago at the age of 109. Makes you wonder if anyone ever sat down with him to record his stories and experiences. &nbsp;Damn good job on getting this puppy running right. Well done. BTW, I hope you made a record of all the stuff you tried, so the next time you&apos;ll have some sort of tech manual.

  Train drivers are very skilled. To keep those slippy iron wheels on steel rails only about four inches wide requires sustained precision and concentration .
