A few months ago, I came across George and these rebuild vids on YT and I'm very happy that I did. This video right here of a couple re-doing a WWII bunker is exactly why these episodes are so amazing. Here I am in Maine, USA wishing I had a project like these that George comes across. Keep them coming because I didn't exactly get to see them when they first aired over there.

I loved the fact that Jerry and Tilde were brought in for the history! I could sit for hours and listen to their stories. I lost my Mamaw years ago, close to 30 yrs. In the stories of the good old days, I used to love to sit and listen to all the stories my Mamaw would tell me. Our elderly hold our stories in our histories and if they’re not passed on to the next generation, then they don’t get passed on to the following generation. I wish they would bring this show back on TV. Such a good series!!

Thats an enormous water tank, and that natural spring is only 90% of the problem. Eighty years will have caused all that concrete to soak up so much water and drying it out , sealing it would be very expensive.

I'm always amazed with st.... of the owners and 'professionalism' of the structure engineer who has spent around 20 sec with no tools to measure anything and he announced that it is 'fine'.... Very sarcastic man...

I would have left it mostly buried and used sun tubes to let in natural light. People coming to a place like this want that bunker experience
