EXCELLENT! Great evidence-based advice all in one place. Your videos have already helped me move my A1C from 6.1 to 5.8. After I watched your video on CGM, I wore one for a month. The impact of walking right after a meal was astounding. I now walk after every meal, keep carb intake to 60-80 per day with vegetables and protein the main focus. And since I am a thin older woman have been working on muscle building through hand weight, squats, etc. This video confirmed these practices and has increased my motivation to keep it up. Thank you.

I came from a place of regular exercise and a largely Med Diet. I was about 180lbs at 5’10”. Still I was showing symptoms of insulin resistance(most of my family has issues).
Went to a 7 hour eating window and low carb of 50-75 grams per day. Instead lots of eggs, meat, dairy like yogurt and cheese. Nuts, some berries and salad and cruciferous vegetables. Eliminated seed oils, sugar and starch.
Dropped 20 pounds of belly fat in 2 months. Almost never hungry, feel good, and all parameters are improving.

I became insulin resistant and didn't realize it. My fasting glucose was high but my A1C was 5.0 so I didn't worry about it. It wasn't until my A1C spiked to 5.5 that my doctor sounded the alarm. But I was wrecking my kidneys with spikes in my blood sugar. Sometimes I was really active and sometimes not. I was over weight sometimes and sometimes not. My job is sedentary.

I think part of my issue was inflammation. I'm sensitive to gluten and dairy which gave me loose stool for a long time. The inflammation, I believe, caused geographic tongue, rashes when hiking, cramping in my calves during running, and Hoshimoto's. Eventually leading to insulin resistance and kidney disease.

So, now I eat low carb, eat within 6 to 8 hours, I get up every 45 minutes and do free standing squats or push ups or planks, etc. Then I go for walks after lunch. I need to start lifting weights and such, but I'm off to a good start. My glucose doesn't spike too much anymore, normally I keep it under 110 sometime it goes up to 120s if I eat an apple, which I normally don't, but I just love apples and peanut butter. My fasting glucose now comes down to the 80s instead of the high 90s. And I lost over 30 lbs, just 20 lbs to go!

I am already a type 2 diabetic. Been that way since more than 10 years ago. It has been a struggle and low carb really is the real way to eat… i have been doing a lot of zone 2 running for the past 2 months. It has helped me a lot. I am 44 years old now.

It is amazing how it all circles back to eating right and exercising. No magic pill, no magic bullet. Just eat right and exercise. Monitoring is key and discipline is imperative. You can still have some junk once in a while as long as it is not your "crack". My dad was an alcoholic and he beat it. He always said he would love to be able to have a drink with his boys, but if he has one, he wants them all. Alcohol was no longer an option for him. Junk food is that for many. In that case, just stay away from it.
