  A few points of clarification:<br><br>1) We were not aware that the rider who crashed into the pub lost his life due to this crash, as it was not communicated in the video; may he rest in peace ❤️❤️❤️❤️<br><br>2) The wreck was not funny; sometimes laughter is the result of being shocked or something occurring unexpectedly. Serious accidents (especially those that result in loss of life) are never funny<br><br>Wishing you all the best, and thanks for watching ❤️❤️❤️❤️

  I’m from the Isle of Man. I have ridden the course 9 times. I’m in my 70’s now and only had two metal plates holding a leg together. I call that a win.

  There are padding protections around buildings and walls. &nbsp;They&apos;re there to protect the buildings and walls.

  I’m an ex sidecar passenger. I was super fit, training every day. I was still like a rag doll after every race. Imagine fighting g forces under acceleration and braking whilst climbing across the bike to keep everything on the grey and off the green. (See Joey Dunlop.)

  As someone who&apos;s had a few motorbike crashes at modest speeds, and some close calls at the sorts of speeds you might see at the TT, you can&apos;t plan how to fall. The crashes happen so suddenly, so violently, that the most you can hope for is that you slide and don&apos;t hit anything hard. Even when you know you&apos;re going to bin it, you can&apos;t predict how your going to land or how you might be thrown. If you&apos;re lucky enough to end up in a slide, you can remember to keep your hands and feet off the floor, to avoid going into a tumble but from the moment it goes wrong to at least a second after you hit the floor, it&apos;s completely out of your hands. And if you come down hard, you&apos;re not doing anything until you come to a stop or wake up in hospital.

  my uncle was the on the pit team for one of the riders for quite a few years, and because the course is so long that if it is red flagged then sometimes the riders have to ride past the accident to get back to the pits. He rode past the 2016 Paul shoesmith accident and when he got back to the pitlane he was just crying because he had just seen someone smeared against a wall and body parts scattered across the road.

  The price goes up (a lot) for houses along the course.<br>Check out &quot;closer to the edge&quot;, a full length movie about the TT, the people who ride it, their families and the people that live on the island. It was filmed during the 2010 TT races and covers the good and the bad.

  When I was a teen in the 60&apos;s I was the passenger in a sidecar but we raced on ice here in Sweden. Trust me that even on ice the sidecar wheel could lift if I didn&apos;t do my job. Our speed was not like that max was maybe 50-80 miles/h on the long straight and maybe half in the corners. Today they are faster. We had normal sized wheels and today they have smaller but wider. You can&apos;t react or do anything when you crasch. You don&apos;t even understand you have crasched until you hit the ground. It&apos;s very high speed and in a blink you&apos;r grounded and hit something or slide.

  People have been traumatised after witnessing some of the crashes. &nbsp;A co-workers husband witnessed the father/son sidecar racers that died a few years back, didn&apos;t speak for nearly a week due to shock.
