I have been reading some comments and want to say a few things. First, thank you for watching, I appreciate it. Second, this video was recommended, and I don't know anything about this race, so I went into this completely blind. Third, 285 deaths may be trivial in comparison to others like car accidents, but still tragic. In my opinion, this is a really cool race, and I actually saw more vids which are POVs from racers like Peter Hickham and Guy Martin, but they are in a copyright dispute currently.

I think it was joey Dunlop who said, “there’s a grey blur and a green blur.  You aim for the grey…”

the thing about the TT is that no one is obliged to race there. they race because they want to.

The I. O.M. Has its own government, laws, money, flag, breed of cat and language, it’s not part of the UK, but is protected by it, it’s what’s called a crown dependency.

"Closer to the Edge" is in my personal opinion the best look at the TT. Many of these rider, Ian Hutchinson and that awful mountain crash of local lad Conar Cummins are featured. It made non winner Guy Martin a major tv star. My family has holiday cottages at the 11th milestone, and have experienced it up close and personal - when those bikes go past you an arms length away is an intensely physical thing you feel to your core. Long live the TT and crazy guys who ride it.
