  You can show Conor Cummins crashing and going down the hill and hitting the wall. He lived and was back racing after his injuries had healed.

  We have a Local Crazy man called Guy Martin who has had 17 podiums at the TT he also has the World record for the Fastest speed on a gravity powered snow sled / Fastest speed in a soapbox / Highest speed on a Wall of Death  and Fastest tractor. As you can tell he`s a Speed Freak. You can check out his TV programmes, very Entertaining.😮

  As someone who has been around f2 sidecar racing all his life, let me assure you that solo riding is far safer. Sidecar racers are a different breed.

  Those multi-bike crashes were not at the TT. They occurred at a Northern Ireland road race.

  It's not for the money, the prizes are tiny compared to Super Bikes, Moto GP, etc. It's just about being the best. Valentino Rossi (legendary Moto GP world champion) rode an exhibition lap in 2009, a reporter asked him if he would consider entering the race, a shake of his head and a straight "No" was the answer

  It operates because the people taking part know the risks and want to do it.  If you follow the "why do they allow it" logic, then why not ban everything where there's a risk of people dying?

  To better understand the Dunlop family I would recommend watching the documentary ’Road’. Largely filmed at the North West 200 road race in Northern Ireland, it’s an emotional watch, and made before William’s untimely death.

  Ohh for anybody interested in a rider's eye view video I suggest, BEHIND THE VISOR with Davey Todd | 2024 Isle of Man TT Races. Peter Hickman does a few with a gopro strapped to the chin of his helmet or to the bike. Davey Todd's is better simply because the guys who put the camera inside the helmets of F1 drivers right beside their eye rocked up to the TT and stuck one  beside Todd's left eye. May I suggest you keep some wet wipes and a change of underwear handy.
