https://www.dralexnewsletter.com/ Join the community by signing up to my daily newsletter! Practical health advice, straight to your inbox, every morning. I'd love you to join me.

It's called The Long Game, and it's an extension of everything I do here on the channel. Every morning I'll send you something short, whether that's a thought I've had that day, a tip you can put into practice, a piece of research I found interesting, or something I've learned from years of seeing people at their worst in A&E.

Most take between thirty seconds and a couple of minutes to read, so it fits around a normal morning, certainly shorter than my videos anyway...

I've called it The Long Game because that's what all of this is. There are no shortcuts and no quick fixes in anything I teach. It's small things done consistently over many years, and that's what genuinely changes your health in the end.

It's free, and you can sign up here: https://www.dralexnewsletter.com

This is brand new, and so the first few emails may end up in your spam, as with all new email newsletters, but hopefully this will soon sort itself out....

Let me know what you think!

If you’d like to support me, the best thing you can do is click the like button and subscribe. It really helps these videos reach more people who might benefit from them, and it allows me to keep making them!

Best wishes,
Alex 😊

I noticed aging at around 16 years old. I’m now 72.

In my 70's and realized that my balance was starting to suffer. So I started warming up at the gym with HIIT. worked up to 14X40 yard sprints before I did my strength training. I was surprised that my balance returned to where it was in my 40's. exercise and eating whole fresh foods also seems to help. great video!

Few doctors ever see their patients walk, we are seated when they enter and are gone before we rise to depart.

Ohhh this one made me laugh because the first time I watched a video like that, I swear I had a full identity crisis in my bathroom—there I was, leaning into the mirror like a detective in a crime drama, whispering, “Luise… sweetheart… is that a fine line or just a very tired thought trying to escape?” and then I caught myself lifting my cheek with one finger like I was testing a prototype, only for it to snap back down with the enthusiasm of a Monday morning; but honestly the funniest part was realizing half the “signs of aging” I panicked about were just… life, like the tiny smile lines from laughing too hard at my own jokes, or the little under‑eye shadows from staying up too late reading nonsense on the internet, and once I stopped treating my face like a malfunctioning device and started seeing it as a scrapbook of everything I’ve lived through, the whole thing felt less like a crisis and more like, “Oh… this is just me becoming a slightly wiser, slightly more moisturized version of myself.”

I also believe a lot of this is genetic. My father lived into his 90’s and did not look his age. He was still walking everyday but unfortunately died during Covid. I am 63 and many people say I don’t look my age. However doing things to prevent it helps.
