  That's actually bad for us consumers. No competition means that AMD doesn't have to keep up with anything. In the worst case scenario it's a monopoly, which is even worse.

  hOW to dig your own grave? <br>- Throw your iconic name out the window,<br>- avoid the last gen stability issues<br>- make a new product that absolutely sucks than previous one, or, similar to previous ones.<br>- Bad quality service.

  Competition is good.... Buuuut intel kind of had this coming. I mean if you look at how they deliberately stalled progress and treated their customers like absolute mugs.<br><br>Ironic is an understatement.

  I worked for Intel in the late 90s until the early 2000s. They were on top of the world then and it was an amazing time, they had good management, bullseye marketing, and all the money. But when I got laid off I was actually relieved, the place was huge and managers were becoming a-holes.

  It really just comes down to piss poor management and executives. The biggest issue is when these executives and management destroy companies with their incompetence they still get huge payouts and then for some unknown reason they get hired somewhere else to destroy another company. I find it absolutely mind boggling to say the least. Canada and U.S is about watching how many companies can hire the same dumb idiots and go bankrupt now a days.

  In two words? Shareholder Value. It&apos;s pretty much destroying every company that adopts it (RIP Boeing). To be successful there is only one rule you need to know: Customers &gt; Shareholders, but alas, these companies get this the wrong way around for short term gain. Then the company dies.
