  We should appreciate that that the 2019 version the movie makers hired cats that were strays before training and they all ended up in loving homes after filming and had good lives. More movies should adapt this.

  That twist in the remake could have been such an awesome sucker punch. Can't believe they ruined it like that in the trailer and poster.

  There is a reason for why Gage's makeup was kinda meh in the original.  They did have a more elaborate design planned, but as he was so little he'd get fussy with his makeup so what we got was about all the little guy could tolerate.

  I think Gage is more creepy. The thought of a two year old undead kid is just effed up.

  While Ellie undead was better in many ways, the problem with making HER the undead child is that Gage is too young to ask all the questions about death... which was key in the book and the first movie.

  In the book Timmy Baterman is much more creepy and ominous, he's essentially an undead clairvoyant that knows everyone's most intimate secrets.

  I think changing the kid absolutely ruined the remake, they turned something original into yet another cliche. The "creepy little girl" thing is so overdone...

  Amazing how the classic cover is 100 times more creepy with way less resources. The newer is pretty much my cat after he enters home from the rain.

  Instead of remaking previous films, there is a lot of Stephen King content that can be made into original movies. I am still waiting on an adaptation of Sun Dog.
