  What bothers me the most is that everyone in Haddonfield kept saying that Michael has haunted them for 40+ years, even though everyone knew that the guy was locked up and was 100 MILES AWAY!!!! Michael wasn&apos;t Jack The Ripper or The Phantom Killer, where he was never apprehended and remained at large. Funny enough, the 20-year timeline did something like this where Michael went on random killing sprees across the Midwest, earning him the nickname, &quot;The Midwest Boogeyman,&quot; and since Michael&apos;s backstory was often used to scare people during the Halloween season, it makes people wonder if Michael is still alive or just a ghost story. Here&apos;s a quote from a Halloween comic that&apos;s canon to the 20-year Timeline that perfectly describes this:<br><br>&quot;I grew up in Langdon, and even there, we knew the stories - the legends of the mid-west bogeyman. Michael Myers, the little boy who killed his sister, Judith, on Halloween night. Exactly fifteen years later, he escaped and slaughtered over a dozen people. They told everyone he was dead, but they never caught him, never found a body. As children, we even believed he wouldn&apos;t die. There were always whispers - whispers that became screams when summer gave way to fall.&quot;

  I personally think 2018 worked best as a standalone sequel to the original film. It&apos;s the one film in the trilogy with the least amount of problems. I don&apos;t think either Kills or Ends is good just for entirely different reasons from each other. Overall, this trilogy somehow feels about as mismanaged as the SW Sequel Trilogy.

  The movies are terrible. They tried to be clever with the Easter eggs but failed because they geared them towards stupid people. Green and McBride are horror hacks.

  My issue with 2018, they immediately retcon the whole sibling thing but in doing so they had to find a new way to link Michael to Laurie<br>They use the Dr Sartain angle which is incredibly desperate for something they were so &apos;matter of fact&apos; about<br>Also, what sort of attorney general gives some two-bit podcasters a piece of evidence (the mask) from a murder case?<br>&quot;Oh can we have the mask?&quot;<br>&quot;Why?&quot;<br>&quot;We&apos;re gonna go to his psych ward and provoke him&quot;<br>&quot;Oh ok, no problem&quot;<br>😂😂

  I loved it. Kills made the 2018 film better by tying up the lose ends and gave us some great slasher kills. the first film gave us a good Strode story and the sequel shows the effects on the rest of the town rather than repeat the same thing. Ends isn&apos;t a good ending to the trilogy set up but as a fan of Christine, I loved seeing a remake of that film set in the Halloween universe. Always a fun time marathoning the trilogy every October.

  I like the first in the trilogy okay, but Kills was dogshit and Ends was just bizarre. As far as the Halloween timelines go (between Halloween 1978 with Halloween 2, or Halloween 1978 + Halloween 2 + H2O, etc.) I think Halloween 1978 and Halloween 2018 are an acceptable path, and no further.<br><br>EDIT: after watching the whole video, yeah I understand the weak points with Halloween 2018, but I still like it ok. Tbh, I actually saw Halloween Kills in a theater at Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait when I was overseas on deployment, before I had even seen Halloween 2018, and thought it was poop soon as it got to the lady accidentally shooting herself with the car door. That moment I literally thought &quot;ohh... this is bad&quot; and really didn&apos;t enjoy the rest of my time watching that movie, which is a shame because it started off okay, and felt like it would be a smartly written, prestigious and mature entry in the saga, since I had heard good things about the 2018 movie, and thought that this would follow suit, but I was severely disappointed.<br><br>A year later I&apos;d watch the 2018 movie with sister and gf after showing the original to them (and 2 and 3 to sis), and we all enjoyed it just fine. Good moments, killer score, cool sequences. It was perfectly satisfactory to us. I had showed em AVGN&apos;s old review of the movies up to Halloween 2 (2009) to see where the franchise goes past the original, and after we watched 2018, we saw Cinema Snob&apos;s review of Halloween Kills just to show them what happens next to confirm it&apos;s not really worth seeing.<br><br>So when Ends came out on Peacock, I watched it on my phone alone, and made the executive decision to not bother watching it with gf or sis.<br><br>I know you don&apos;t like 2018, but I still feel like they ruined a potentially good thing in setting that up as an end to the saga, because the sequels were just worse and veered into the franchise direction that prompted them to make their &quot;corrective&quot; 2018 film in the first place.
