  I'm a recovering gambling addict. I'le have my last credit card fully paid off next week. Never again. Edit: I put in my last payment today!

  I used to be addicted to online shopping but now I’m addicted to online browsing/wishlist making. Not spending money but still spending time. It’s a work in progress. 😂

  My mom is a shopaholic. She has so much clothing and random stuff that she's filled her home and 3 storage units with all of it. She's turning 70 this year, blew her $400k inheritance, has no retirement, 0 savings and is banking on her crypto coming through for her retirement plan. Shopping addiction is "cute" until it isn't...

  Remember people: Anything can become an addiction. It can be drugs, caffeine, shopping, social media, partying, dating, hoarding, it can be freaking cheese crackers! It doesn't matter, it can happen to anyone with anything at anytime.

  I think being idle most of the time contributes a lot to this problem. If people picked up high-quality interests/hobbies that require you to move more and/or consciously spend time on them then this urge to keep buying stuff would gradually decline.

  I like how everyone keeps mentioning Carrie but forgets all the times her poor financial decisions led her to being nearly homeless, stressed, and causing financial stress to those around her. But yea she wore cute outfits.
