My grandmother was told her heart condition would kill her in her 40s, she's 103. Luckily she saved and invested and completely supports herself.

My dad passed away the day after he retired. I am still sad that he never got the rest he deserved. But I am so grateful that he left money behind so that my mom was taken care of.
