  I always enjoy these types of cultural videos! I met my husband in college, but we were dating other people at the time and stayed friends until years later when we happened to be single at the same time. That was 14yrs ago! I didn't like dating apps, and gave up on trying to find anyone after my serious relationship breakup, then my husband asked me to a concert with friends - the rest is history! Our 5yr old son just started kindergarten!

  i just found your channel and i love your videos about cultural norms, changes, and issues. it’s such a relaxing way to learn more about the world! 🌏 and as a young person myself, it makes me think about the way these changes have happened in my home country too. i also think its interesting how japanese society has been affected by more western approaches to dating. it is interesting to think that when people used to rely on family for match making, now they pay a company for the same service! at home in america, i met my partner through being friends at school. i feel lucky that we could form a relationship slowly when dating apps are so popular. thank you for this video! 💜

  Dating in America is awful in my opinion. It's as if certain demographics are automatically clustered into the "ideal" notion of a dating pool. You never know what you're getting realistically on dating sites, and truthfully, the same goes for someone you meet in person. I never mix business with pleasure because it often turns to internal conflict on the job. How does your culture overall in Japan feel about interracial dating/marriages? The vast majority of the world, evening the U.S. recently, frowns upon it. I want to experience ideals and cultures outside of my own. The odds are against us who are open-minded and see past politics, nationality, race, and ethnicity. I have a strong feeling that I'll be single forever. Not because I choose to, but because I refuse to settle and allow a person have the best of me when it's all a game to them. Not everyone is like that. They are however few and far between.
