I lost people I considered friends after deciding not to drink alcohol anymore. I got the sense some of them thought I felt like I was better than others for this decision. It wasn’t my intention to make anyone feel like I was looking down on them, but perhaps it was for the best those people left. Real friends respect each other’s choices.

as an american I’ve also noticed the decline in drinking from millennials to genz to gen alpha. my personal opinion is that people pay attention to consequences of their actions more and take care of their health more as our food and water quality is declining here. I feel like all over the world it’s been a chain reaction as to why drinking is on the decline, it’s pretty fascinating culture to culture

Thank you for this info! A friend visited japan and did a dark side tour about the alcoholism as well as the homeless and red light district and it seemed so similar to America in those issues :(

Wow...i can't believe that alcohol was once available in vending machines.<br>It actually says something about the level of trust Japan had with their well behaved youth.

I love watching your videos. I’m a young American white guy but my mom is mixed East Asian born in Seoul Korea. You remind me of her so much in so many ways ❤ I know Japan and Korea are separate countries but I love how similar they are to each other at the same time! <br>Only 120 miles of ocean in between South Korea and Japan.
