Love Karen, I'm so impressed that someone so young is into 80's rock music, we need more of Karen!

In the late 1980's. my wife of now 36 years and I were in Frankfurt FRG at a Bon Jovi concert.  We hadn't been together but a few months.  I  was standing up against a pillar in the fest hall.  We were maybe 50 feet from the stage.  My back was to the pillar and my girl was in my arms facing me.  I felt a light hit my eyes.  I looked up and Jon Bon Jovi was looking at us, pointing at us and singing I'll be there for you".  Somehow the spotlight operator had spotted us and for some reason shined the light on us.  I tapped her and told her she might want to turn around.  It was quite a surreal moment.  I'll never forget it.  We are still in love to this day.

All their hair is immaculate because the 80's was the age of the hair bands.

Ritchie Sambora should always deserve his props for his great backup vocals and guitar playing.

Gotta mention that Jon Bon Jovi owns and actually works at a number of restaurants that feed the hungry and the homeless. Pay by donation if you can, but if you have no money you eat for free. This is what Jon Bon Jovi does with his money.

This was when MTV was music television, before y'all were born. Long hair and Marlboros.

SLIPPERY WHEN WET put this band into the stratosphere and there was no looking back.  This song, "You Give Love a Bad Name", "Livin On a Prayer", "Raise Your Hands" all hits from this album but the entire album is rocking.   This song was performed acoustically by John & Richie on MTV Music Awards and it was so well received that MTV created the Unplugged series.

Emilio Estevez approached Jon and wanted to use this song in the movie, Young guns 2,  but Jon didn't think it was quite right, so he wrote the song Blaze of glory" for the movie instead
