  I&apos;m a Canadian who immigrated to America and served in the U.S Marines, this brought me more emotion than my own countries anthem. I will die an American. Proud standing tall.<br> <br>(3 tours in Afghanistan 2013-2018, out on med. MOS 0311, infantry 3rd bat 7th reg.) Thank you for who corrected me on occupations, i never paid attention to the numbers and I&apos;ve been out for over 7 years.

  Our flag doesn&apos;t wave because of the wind. It waves with the dying breath of every last man, woman, and child that gave their lives to keep her standing.

  I have been to the site of Fort Henry that the anthem was written about. &nbsp;Francis Scott Keys wrote this immortalize the battle. The story about people dying to keep that flag upright is chilling. &nbsp;We do love our flag and remember with great respect all of the men and women who have defended the flag and our country over time . &nbsp;Thank you all for your sacrifice

  FYI.. &nbsp;That flag from that battle is on display at the American History Museum Smithsonian in Washington D C. It is very heartwarming &nbsp;to see.

  As a 77 year-old US Army Retiree and disabled combat veteran hearing this story, a story I already knew all too well, but hearing it yet again just touched me. We are so lucky to be Americans and I feel so proud to have serve my beloved USA. &nbsp;I pray true American patriots will always beam with pride, salute or place their hands over their hearts, and sing with pride every time our national anthem is played and our flag is raised, lowered, or waves in the breeze. A pox to anyone who claims America as their home but doesn’t love America or support our troops.

  As an American and a Texan....I am unashamed to tell you that I cried through this entire video. I am a Martial Arts Master who is a 49 year old man who loves his country through and through. God bless America!

  That is also the very reason why we as Americans do not let our flag touch the ground even today. To honor those who died that held it up.
